Launch of Hylo-Care® in Portugal

Lisbon. OM PHARMA in Portugal is developing its presence in ophthalmology by launching its new product Hylo-Care®, a solution of sodium hyaluronate and dexpantenol. Hylo-Care® is used to lubricate, humidify and treat the ocular surface. It responds to the needs of intensive regeneration of the eye, especially for patients with dry eyes and ulceration of the cornea.

Dry eye syndrome is the second cause of consultation in ophthalmology. It concerns over 100 million people in the world and 14% of the adults of more than 40 years. Due to a chronic lack of lubrication and moisture in the eye, its consequences range from irritation to ocular inflammation of the conjunctiva and corneal tissues of the eyes. This product may thus represent a valuable therapeutic choice of ophthalmologists for all patients with dry eyes.
