Launch of Supraler® a new antihistaminic medication in Central America

In October, OM PHARMA started its marketing campaign for levocetirizine under the brand name of Supraler®, a third generation antihistaminic drug manufactured by Panalab Laboratories (Argentina) with launches in Guatemala, Honduras and Salvador. The doctors have already expressed their satisfaction with this new drug as it is more efficient and requires a lesser dose than the previous generation of anti-histaminic medications prescribed against the ever increasing allergic skin and respiratory tract diseases. Moreover the common adverse events of this class of drugs, such as sleepiness and diminished psychomotor functions, are markedly reduced or even non-existent with Supraler®.

The product will be launched in the other Central American countries during the first three months of 2008.
