OM PHARMA is developing a portfolio of synthetic, immunomodulatory compounds, OM-Triacyls. These lipidic compounds are either activators of the innate immune system (agonists of the receptor TLR4) or inhibitors of innate immune activation (antagonists of the TLR4 receptor).

OM-174 is the biological product on which the OM-Triacyl portfolio of synthetic compounds is based. OM-174 is a diphosphorylated glucosamine disaccharide bearing 3 fatty chains. It has a good safety profile for use in man and is currently in development as a cancer immmunotherapeutic agent (phase Ib clinical) and as a vaccine adjuvant.

OM-197-MP-AC is OM PHARMA’s lead synthetic triacyl compound. It is an efficient agent for the maturation of functional human dendritic cells for use in cellular immunotherapy. This activity is also critical to the role played by immunological adjuvants for vaccine development. Further applications are also being investigated. OM-197-MP-AC has an advanced preclinical pharmacology and toxicology/safety programme, designed to allow its use in phase I clinical trials. Preclinical proof of concept has been established in allergy models.

OM PHARMA’s strategy is to establish partnerships for the development of its novel proprietary molecules, in situations where immune stimulation or inhibition of immune responses is useful, in particular in the fields of prophylactic and therapeutic vaccines, cellular immunotherapy, immunotherapy of cancer, allergy and other indications.
